Product Variants and Features:
RoboCargo offers four distinct, patented models, with additional variants in development. The initial lineup includes:
- Cargo Valet (Consumer Models): These cargo boxes are designed for SUVs and Overlander vehicles such as Jeeps and Ford Broncos. They feature a lift mechanism similar to a dump truck, allowing a tray to extend and adjust to waist height, making loading accessible even for wheelchair users.
- Mobile Workshop (Commercial Models): This model is engineered for pickups and vans, featuring a tray with folding legs and wheels that extend to the ground. The self-leveling tray transforms into a stable work surface, and the integrated winch allows for easy loading of heavy equipment with minimal physical strain.
- Rooftop Model for Airport Shuttle Vans: Designed to load from the side, this model includes multiple extending trays for organized luggage management, optimizing space for passengers.
- Beast Mode: Targeted at outdoor enthusiasts, this version supports oversized equipment like skis, paddleboards, and kayaks. It also includes solar panels for off-grid charging and search lights for nighttime visibility.
Vehicle Compatibility:
Our cargo systems are available in various sizes to fit a wide range of SUV, van, and pickup models.
Installation and Use:
Initial installation requires professional technicians, but subsequent removal and reinstallation are user-friendly. For recreational users, we offer a specialized hoist to facilitate easy handling. The Cargo Valet can even accommodate gear left in place during removal.
Ease of Operation:
All RoboCargo systems are designed for single-handed operation, making them accessible to users of varying physical abilities, including those in wheelchairs.
Security Features:
Each system includes solenoids for secure attachment and locking mechanisms to safeguard the cargo.
Pricing:
The cost of RoboCargo systems ranges from $5,000 for the standard SUV Cargo Valet to $10,000 for the industrial-grade Mobile Workshop. Pricing reflects the advanced features and automation capabilities of each model.
Load Capacity:
Rooftop carriers are tested to handle 200-400 lbs., depending on size of vehicle, though actual limits may vary based on vehicle manufacturer recommendations.
Vehicle Transition:
Cargo units are designed for transfer between vehicles of similar size, with a fee applicable for changing permanently affixed hardware.
Customization and Color Options:
We offer various color options to match standard vehicle hues, with future plans to allow direct ordering from vehicle manufacturers.
Warranty and Support:
RoboCargo systems come with a six-month comprehensive parts and service warranty, and a two-year warranty for manufacturer defects.
Distribution and Financing:
RoboCargo will be available through independent and franchised automotive dealerships, as well as commercial outfitters. Financing options are being developed, potentially including terms over three years or the duration of a vehicle loan.
Specialized Versions:
For oversized recreational equipment, the Beast Mode version provides top-mounted attachments and additional features like solar panels and search lights. The Mobile Workshop can be tailored for various trades with snap-in trays and work surfaces to enhance operational efficiency.
Security and Maintenance:
The Mobile Workshop includes secure shell protection and advanced locking systems. Maintenance is minimal, with designs prioritizing low-maintenance electromechanical actuators.
Electrical System:
The Cargo Valet operates on a self-contained electrical system with removable batteries, avoiding any impact on vehicle warranties. For extended trips, additional batteries and chargers are available, with the Beast Mode featuring solar panels for uninterrupted power. The Mobile Workshop uses deep cycle marine batteries charged by the vehicle’s alternator.
RoboCargo stands at the forefront of cargo management innovation, combining automation with functionality to meet diverse needs across consumer and commercial applications.
